After the Rain…….

After the Rain…

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine after the rain
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall,
But God’s always ready to answer your call

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips can calm every fear
Your sorrows may linger throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish at dawn’s early light

The Savior is waiting somewhere above,
To give you His grace and send you His love
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
God always sends rainbows after the rain. – Anonymous.

Stairway to Heaven….

Alright….. I am a bit down with the flu. I like to shut myself in a room, stay away from every one, all by myself, try to find some divine music to listen and heal. Here is what I found. Hope you enjoy it.  “The Benaud Trio” from Melbourne, Australia are just amazing. The team includes  Amir Farid – Piano, Lachlan Bramble – Violin and Ewen Bramble – `Cello. You can find more information on Benaudtrio an

Hope you enjoy listening to Stairway to heaven. Leme know what do you think?

It happens all the time in Heaven….

It happens all the time in heaven,
And some day
It will begin to happen
Again on earth –
That men and women who are married,
And men and men who are
And women and women
Who give each other
Often will get down on their knees
And while so tenderly
Holding their lover’s hand,
With tears in their eyes,
Will sincerely speak, saying,
My dear,
How can I be more loving to you;
How can I be more
Kind?” –Hafiz

Here is some inspiration for love, acceptance, courage and strength, to just be one self, something to think about, I know I am not there yet :). Picture of 2012 Oscar nominee, beautiful Viola Davis. Ms Davis attributed her bravery to wear her natural hair do to the encouragement of her loving husband Julius Tennon, who told her “to step into  who She is,”. For some reason this reminded me of “Aham Brahmasmi” mantra meditation, I did recently with Chopra center. Have you checked out the 21 days meditation Challenge I have been talking about yet? Trust me, it is amazing.

Becoming Human…

Once a man came to me and spoke for hours about
“His great visions of God” he felt he was having.

He asked me for confirmation, saying,
“Are these wondrous dreams true?”
I replied, “How many goats do you have?”

He looked surprised and said,
“I am speaking of sublime visions
And you ask
About goats!”

And I spoke again saying,
“Yes, brother – how many do you have?”
“Well, Hafiz, I have sixty-two.”

“And how many wives?”
Again he looked surprised, then said,

“How many rose bushes in your garden,
How many children,
Are your parents still alive,
Do you feed the birds in winter?”

And to all he answered.

Then I said,
“You asked me if I thought your visions were true,
I would say that they were if they make you become
More human,
More kind to every creature and plant
That you know.”

When I thought of enthusiasm this morning, which I wasn’t really feeling, to tell you the truth.  I thought of  Steve Irwin,  the enthusiastic “Crocodile Hunter, full of zest, passion and excitement for life. It got me started.  I need to do something about getting rid of the blues I was feeling.  Well! the least I could do is, to try.

If you are like me, determined to keep happy and positive thoughts, want to wake up every morning, looking forward to the day, get excited about it. Of course it is not going to happen without some effort. And it is not easy at the end of the day, when we find “NO” as an answer to things we want to do during the day. So what do you do? I might play my favorite dynamic, “crazy” song to get me up in to a better mood. This is almost instant, but for some reason, it always works for me.

Or pick a poem to read like the one blow.

One’s excitement when facing any challenge must be sincere
his state of mind cannot be overcome by skepticism or fear
Confidence must take over all doubtful emotions and uncertainty
Because full commitment and belief leads to a successful bounty.

The greatest motivation is when leading by example and enthusiasm
A sensible sample of a leadership role without any sarcasm
Exhibit an infectious interest and loyalty to the task at hand
While winning support and entry into a higher echelon’s dreamland

Remember to always keep it light at heart and heavy on focus
Set your eyes on the price, and use human resource as your canvas
For most times it takes multiple hands and heads to start any motions
And enthusiasm is the way to trigger people’s instinctive emotions.
– Enthusiasm: Poem By Sana Baldeh.

Inside me there is a little girl, she is probably seven or eight years old, spent all days feeling extremely happy, excited about life and always felt  loved by her family. She always finds ways to have pockets of Joy and get excited about life even when things do not go right.  I better get going soon but before I leave now,  it is your turn to speak…..

Iron Man

little Iron man

angry eyes burn behind cold metal mask
muscles tensed for fight in flight
repulsor rays boot jets armor
he is iron man.

all-powerful controller master of his fate
vengeful righteous realist almighty godlike hero
protector judge destroyer martyr
invincible impervious inhuman.

mechanical masculinity lover of the machine
better safe than sorry greedy me-first hoarder
dark doomy death dealer
self-satisfying soul stealer
childhood’s chosen champion.

his armor
once glistening once wonderful
now binds and holds in place
battle-scarred time-tarnished too small
pitted scorched outdated in the way
barrier to growth and love and life.

I tried to forget him
but he came to me in dreams
I tried to kill him
but he was stronger than I am
I tried to banish him
but he wouldn’t leave me
so I pulled off his grim metal mask.

a child’s face my face revealed at last
frustrated frightened familiar hopeful
little boy with wounded heart
scared of the body he can’t control
afraid to come outside it hurts to be with people
a quarter century in an armor shell
waiting for mommy and daddy to make it right
Little Iron Man; a poem -Rick Belden.

Happy Birthday to my little Iron Man.  A very happy Birthday to you Jonathan!

When we go to Heaven do we take our race and religion with us?

When we go to Heaven do we take our race and religion with us?

Well! I do not believe in caste system anymore,  so I did not mention.

I must say I am heavily influenced by Buddhist, Christian and Hindu spiritual teachings, and I consider myself part of all those and  in no particular order.

When I feel joyful, peaceful, I somewhat believe Heaven is here and now.

A day at the Beach

Lighthouses and seashells,
Along a salty coast.
A whisper of wind,
Carries kites to fly with birds.
Surfers ride the waves,
Like a kid with a new bike.
While castles built for kings,
Wait for high tide.
Along the endless shoreline,
We will watch the boats.
Someday we will live along our friend,
The coast.

Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.  Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.  Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.  It was never between you and them anyway.

          ~Mother Teresa.

Be happy and smile,
Sadness has gone out of style.
Show those teeth for a while.

Be happy let everyone see,
That you defy sadness and welcome glee.
Bounce along let people see.

Be happy whistle a tune,
From early morning till way past noon.
Until you see the rising moon.

Be happy and start a trend,
And then all hearts will start to mend.
Make everyone you see your friend.

Poems by Juan Olivarez

Inspiring poem isn’t it? I often visit  intent  blog page created by Mallika Chopra , write my intents, after a couple of years visiting the page every once in a while, I kept thinking,  what is it I really want on a consistent basis all the time? what would my one intent be that’s always present with in me ? So I asked myself often during the time of meditation when my mind is clear, asking, waiting for an answer and here is what i got one day. I  now know,  it is clear,  this is going to be my intent, I anchor upon waking up every morning.

“It is my dominant intent to feel HAPPY, feel well, feel good, feel peaceful, feel JOYFUL, all day long, every single day for the rest of my life”.

                               Have a Happy day today!!!
